Every YOM™ formula is independently certified microplastic-free by flustix.
Microplastics are tiny plastic particles from plasticised ingredients, often added to lip products for shine, texture and long-wear. While we don't use any of these ingredients, we took the extra step of having every formula independently certified to verify it - and we passed with flying colours.
Who is flustix?
flustix is a European initiative dedicated to creating independent certifications for plastic-free products. Their seals are registered with the EUIPO and used to support clearer, more conscious choices. That independence is what makes their certification trustworthy. You're not just hearing us say we're microplastic-free, you're seeing the proof too.
How it's verified
All three YOM™ formulas were tested by flustix's accredited laboratory and assessed against their certification criteria for microplastic content, based on the definition set out in EU law. To be certified, polymer content must be below 0.01%. All three of our lip mask flavours - Honey in the Milky Way™, Wild Juju Berry™ and Persian Love Cake™ - met this standard.
We hold flustix license FPMT016, and the certification is listed in their public database for verification.
